Iran War Live Attacks
MIDDLE EAST – The conflict between the United States and Iran has entered a dangerous new phase after the U.S. launched another wave of military strikes on Iranian targets while the United Arab Emirates (UAE) confirmed that one crew member was killed following missile attacks on two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. US Iran blockade tankers
The latest escalation has heightened fears of a wider regional conflict, with military operations expanding across the Gulf and global concerns mounting over the security of one of the world’s most important shipping routes.
US Launches Fresh Airstrikes
The U.S. military confirmed it carried out a third consecutive night of strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure, including missile launch sites, radar systems and command facilities.
According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the attacks are intended to degrade Iran’s military capabilities following recent Iranian strikes on commercial shipping and U.S.-aligned assets in the Gulf. President Donald Trump also announced a tougher maritime posture, including the reinstatement of a blockade on Iranian shipping.
UAE Confirms Tanker Casualties
The UAE Ministry of Defence said one crew member, an Indian national, was killed after Iranian missiles struck two tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Eight additional crew members were injured, including six Indian nationals and two Ukrainian nationals. Four of the injured were reported to be in serious condition.
Iran said it had targeted what it described as “offending” vessels operating in the strategic waterway.
Strait of Hormuz Remains Under Pressure
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical energy corridors, with a significant share of global oil exports passing through the narrow waterway each day.
The latest attacks have disrupted commercial shipping, prompted several vessels to alter their routes and pushed international oil prices sharply higher amid fears that the conflict could further restrict global energy supplies.
Regional Tensions Continue to Rise
Iran has continued to launch missile and drone attacks against U.S. military facilities and allied positions across the Gulf, while Washington has vowed to maintain military pressure until it believes the threat to international shipping has been reduced.
Regional governments remain on high alert as diplomatic efforts continue to prevent the conflict from expanding further across the Middle East. The United Nations and several international partners have renewed calls for restraint and a return to negotiations.
Global Markets Watching Closely
Financial markets are closely monitoring developments as continued instability in the Strait of Hormuz could have significant implications for global energy prices, inflation and international trade.
With both Washington and Tehran showing little sign of backing down, analysts warn that the coming days could prove critical in determining whether the conflict escalates further or diplomatic efforts succeed in reducing tensions.
